About Tenancy In Commons

About Tenancy In Commons

A Tenancy in Common (TIC) is a form of group ownership. When you buy a TIC, you are purchasing a percentage of ownership in a building and a right to live in a particular unit.

San Francisco's skyrocketing real estate values have made TICs an attractive real estate investment option. Often they are the best way for a buyer to get a toehold on the market.

Some TIC groups have been able to convert their building into condominiums. This can be a lengthy and sometimes expensive process, but well worth it if it can be done.

For more information on TICs, please call me for an appointment. You can also learn more by clicking on the links below to articles written by attorneys Andy Sirkin and David Gellman, local experts on the laws that affect TIC ownership.

Please be patient when clicking on these links. The articles can take awhile to open up.
